Music has come a long way since The Beatles and Eric Clapton but it has also lost some of the basic fundamentals of what music actually is. Would The Real Musicians Please Stand Up.
As I sit in my cousin's living room listening to a live recording of Elton John, from a recording studio in New York where he played for around 125 people, I'm in complete awe. My cousin explains to me that he in fact attended this show at the age of 18. As the incredible notes to "Sixty Years On" fill my ears and my mind with pure musical bliss I realize that this no longer happens with today's artists. There are so few times where I am completely taken aback by music.
